PGA Masters – Pick and Predictions
The Masters Golf Tourney is the class of all the PGA stops. Everyone knows about the Masters, Augusta, Georgia and the Green Jacket. Even the casual fans perk up when this event is played. They can chat about Arnold Palmer and Jack Nicklaus and Sam Snead. This is one weekend that gets a lot of following throughout the United States and the world to see who wins the “jacket”.
Let’s preview some of the golfers for this event and then make some predictions.
We have to start with Phil Mickelson and his chances to win. He has a perfect game for this course. He is a short gamer and people that win here are great putters. Mickelson is also one of the guys that can crank the ball off the tee for long distances. My third choice to win the Masters.
We are still talking about Tiger Woods? Not really sure why but probably because he has owned this course for a very long time. He has to be a favorite just from an historical perspective.
Martin Kaymer is the #1 ranked player in the world.
Matt Kuchar has Top 25s in 8 starts this year. He led the PGA tour in Earnings last year.
Bubba Watson – Didn’t play in the Masters Last year, but if he has two really strong opening rounds, Saturday will be a big round for him to set the tone going into Sunday.
Bill Haas – T18 finish at his first trip to Augusta last year.
Other golfers that warrant some thought before the bets are made:
Nick Watney has many have already choosing him to win it.
Dustin Johnson is my second favorite to win this.
Jeff Overton
Ricky Fowler
Graeme McDowell- my pick to click- my first pick.
D.A. Points- Pekin, Illinois native is playing his best golf ever.
Hunter Mahan
