NFL 2010 Round One Draft Picks
The NFL draft has begun, players are getting chosen, the games haven’t started yet (and won’t be for a season-plu yet), but no matter for sportsbetting, let the handicapping begin!
Some of the highlights of this year’s NFL 2010 draft include Donovan McNabb going to the Redskins, Antonio Cromartie and Santonio Holmes going to the Jets, and Brandon Marshall going to the Dolphins.
The Oklahoma University Sooners, despite a disappointing year, managed to produce for the NFL three out of the top four players chosen in Round 1 of the draft, Thursday night, April 22, those being Sam Bradford first (taken by St. Louis), Gerald McCoy third (taken by Tampa Bay), and Trent Williams fourth (taken by Washington). Meanwhile Ndamukong Suh of Nebraska went to Detroit in the second pick of the night.
One of the more suprising picks of the season was 2008 Heisman Trophy winner and 2-time national champ Tim Tebow going to the Denver Broncos. A surprise on the reverse side was Jimmy Clausen, quarterback for Notre Dame, who was expected to go early but ended up not getting picked at all in Round 1.
The kickoff of the 2010 NFL season is still over 4 months away, but that hasn’t stopped the online sports betting community from starting their action now.
In the kickoff game of the 2010 NFL season will happen on Thursday, September 9, and it will see the New Orleans Saints, reigning Super Bowl champions, hosting the Minnesota Vikings for a rematch of the 2009 the NFC Championship Game.
