Drafted in 201 by the St. Louis Cardinals in the 2nd round, Haren has panned out, having had a good career as thrower. Besides the Cardinals, Dan has also pitched for the Athletics and of course, now the Angels.
As mentioned above, Haren was brought in from the Diamondbacks for three of their pitchers, 2 leftys and one right hander. Joe Saunders and Patrick Corbin are the left handed pitchers, while Rafael Rodriguez throws right handed. One other player was included in the trade as well.
For the 2010 season, Dan Haren has a 7-8 record, just shy of .500. He has an ERA of 4.60. It was initially rumored that he would be sent to either Detroit or New York, where he would have become either a Tiger or Yankee, respectively. Neither occurred and now, Dan is officially a member of the Los Angeles Angels.
This year, the Angels are fighting for the AL Wild Card. They trail Tampa Bay 8.5 games for the Wild Card. In the American League, they are 6 games behind the Texas Rangers. Overall, the team is just a bit above .500 with a record of 52-48. When it comes to baseball betting, oddmakers have made their opinion known regarding the chances of the Angels to win the World Series. They have been given +5000 odds.
