French Open of Tennis: May 23
On May 23rd, the 2010 French Open Tennis Tournament gets started. The toughest grand slam will once again test the restrictions of the world’s best tennis players as they look for success at the courts of Roland Garros.

With some great wins at Rome and Monte Carlo clue that he is clawing is way back and will be a great force in 2010. The rivalry between Nadal and Roger Federer is sure to be this years most anticipated match up. Roger Federe is coming into this year’s tournament as the reigning champion and a fresh title at the Australian Open. Some other players that are also looking to upset either Nadal or Federe are Juan del Porto and Andy Murray. Juan del Porto has the clay-court skills and some grand slam experience that might just be enough to upset Nadal and Federe. British fans are behind Andy Murray who is looking forward to improve his Paris record, so much so that there was unusually high levels of tennis betting for this event. Justine Henin is the player to watch as the women take to the court. Four-time winner is competing in her first French Open and looking for victory. Kim Clijster, Serena Williams, and last year’s winner Svetlana Kuznetsoua are a few Henin have to get through. Belgiums Kim Clijsters is definitely one of the contenders to win, with 2009 US Open win, and beating Serena Williams at the Teri 1 2010 Sony Ericcson Open in Miami. Serna Williams’s has only won two titles in 2010 including the title at the Australian Open. Williams is sure to be powerful player to overcome. Svetlana Kurnetsousa is trying to defend her title. With a 2004 US Open win and last years title at the French Open she, is a sure bet on reaching the finals?
